One thing that has pleasantly surprised us as we have been pitching our first feature film at the American Film Market is how impressed and positive people have been about the film festival exposure, nominations, and awards our short films have received. I honestly would have expected that people would have just expected us to have already at least won a bunch of awards with short films before trying this. I even figured that most people would want us to have made a feature film already. But maybe there really are too many people who haven’t made anything (short or feature) seeking to get a project off the ground without having any proof that they’ve seen projects through to completion and know how to tell cinematic stories.
